Job Details: 2nd shift custodian
Schedule: Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm
Pay Rate: $19.28

2nd shift Custodian Job Description:
1. Oversees and maintains a clean, safe, healthy environment for students, staff and
public.
2. Unpacks and stores incoming shipments of supplies.
3. Reports any problems found in the building to the Head Custodian, Custodial Supervisor or Building Principal as necessary.
4. Maintains a secure building and property at all times.
5. Vacuums, dusts, mops, removes trash, scrubs, sweeps, and disinfects the building.
6. Maintains clean, safe hallways, classrooms, and bathrooms by mopping, scrubbing walls, dusting, wiping lockers, disposing of trash, and refilling all dispensers on a regular basis.
7. Cleans window glass and buffs and/or waxes hallways to maintain clean, respectable look.
8. Performs seasonal cleaning jobs, i.e. snow removal, wash and remove all furniture, strip and wax floors, vacuum and wash heating ducts and replace filters.
9. Maintains the exterior of the building by picking up trash and debris around the perimeter of the building.
10. Assists with any set up / breakdown as necessary for school and/or community functions.
11. Works cooperatively with Head Custodian, Maintenance staff, school staff, and outside organizations using school facilities.
12. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Head Custodian, Custodial Supervisor, Director of Operations, Building Principal and/or Superintendent.
13. Contributes to the effective team management of all school district issues and opportunities.

2nd shift custodian Job Requirements:

Must have high school diploma

Must be able to obtain all clearances to work around children

2-3 years custodial, janitorial, facilities experience and a good understanding of cleaning agents

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 30lbs
