Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee daily AP operations, drive process improvements, and support financial accuracy across a dynamic, global organization. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at problem-solving, and enjoy mentoring others, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
The
Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team and ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of invoices and payments. This role is responsible for maintaining high service standards with vendors and internal departments, supporting team development, and contributing to continuous process improvements. The AP Supervisor reports to the VP and Global Controller and plays a key role in maintaining strong controls and operational efficiency in the procure-to-pay cycle.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Global Support Hub in Rosemont, IL - M/F is remote, and T-Th are in-office collaboration days As The Accounts Payable Supervisor, You Will - Supervise daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely.
- Monitor invoice workflow and ensure appropriate general ledger coding and approvals.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process by preparing and reviewing AP-related reports and reconciliations.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated vendor inquiries and internal department requests.
- Maintain vendor records and assist with annual 1099 reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Provide training, coaching, and daily support to AP staff to encourage growth and performance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and support automation initiatives.
- Assist with monitoring metrics related to invoice processing time, payment accuracy, and vendor satisfaction.
- Help coordinate company purchasing card (P-card) and employee expense report programs.
What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Accounts Payable Supervisor: - Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Manufacturing experience preferred; multi-entity exposure a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AP automation tools and process improvement practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Experience with Oracle preferred; Sage a plus.
- Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $68,600 - $97,600 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strengths annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
