Job Description

This National Guard position is for an AIRPLANE PILOT (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0253P02, with the 151 Operational Group located in Salt Lake City, Utah Air National Guard. This vacancy prioritizes current military members of the Utah Air National Guard. The selecting supervisor is ANDREW MCLAY. Duties [Insert detailed duties here] Requirements MILITARY REQUIREMENTS : Compatible military grade and assignment are required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position requiring membership in a compatible military assignment within the employing state's National Guard. Military Rank: Officer Compatible Military Assignments: 11M3F Pilot Qualifications *Your resume must detail how each position's duties and responsibilities meet the listed experience requirements, including employment dates (MM/YYYY) and hours worked per week.* Specialized Experience GS-13 Air National Guard Officers: At least two years of experience in civilian or military aviation programs, or in the Army National Guard Aviation Support facility or Air National Guard Wing/Operations Group, is required. Additionally, two years of experience in the following areas: Piloting and instructing on main-frame/military aircraft (fixed-wing, rotary, or RPA). Reading and applying mission tasks, intelligence reports, and weather info. Supervising or conducting mission planning, flight plans, and crew briefings. Aircraft preflight inspections, loading, equipment assessments, and mission staffing. Operating aircraft controls and equipment. Navigation, in-flight refueling, search and rescue, surveillance, or reconnaissance procedures. Supervising crew training on mission-specific tasks. Developing plans, policies, and advising commanders. Knowledge of flight theory, navigation, meteorology, and aircraft procedures. Supporting aviation programs administratively. Experience with aviation quality control, safety programs, and compliance with regulations. Coordinating flying operations ensuring safety regulations are met. Experience with various missions like air-to-air, air-to-ground, surveillance, etc. Using aircraft instrumentation and video cameras. Planning and conducting training flights within FAA regulations. Applying directives, SOPs, and instructions from relevant military authorities. Performing aviation duties like diverting aircraft, coordinating airspace use, and emergency actions. Applying Army aviation regulations and instructional techniques. Reviewing flight publications for accuracy. Experience with weaponry and combat/non-combat tactics.
