Opportunity for an Anesthesiologist to work in a care team model setting at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Memphis. Work 26 weeks per year and receive FT salary, benefits, and retirement! Baptist Memorial Health Care’s 80-acre East Memphis, TN, campus features the flagship hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis, one of the highest-volume medical centers in Tennessee. The 80-acre site is also home to the Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital, Baptist Women’s Health Center, Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital, Baptist Heart Institute, and five physician office buildings. We provide anesthesia services to three acute care hospitals in the same vicinity—Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis, Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, and Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital—as well as several ambulatory surgery centers. Case Assignments include General, pediatric, ENT, ortho, plastic, OB/GYN, transplants and complex cardiac. Full call taking position. The practice consists of 25+ physicians, including two fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists, and 70+ CRNAs who work together in a care team model. Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients under anesthesia, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license.
