🐾 Animal Care Attendant

🐶🐱 Permanent | Full-Time

As an Animal Care Attendant , you’ll play a hands-on role in caring for animals and supporting taste trials—without direct customer service responsibilities.

• Maintain clean, organized, and odor-free kennels and facility areas.
• Feed cats and dogs on a set schedule and ensure constant access to fresh water.
• Engage animals with toys and social interaction to promote well-being.
• Bathe and groom animals as needed to maintain hygiene and comfort.
• Prepare and serve pet food for scheduled feedings; weigh and dispose of leftovers.
• Accurately document animal behavior, health, and feeding data.
• Foster a collaborative, compassionate environment focused on exceptional animal care.

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 6 months of animal care experience (1 year preferred)—can include professional, volunteer, farm, or personal business experience.
• Experience working with large groups of animals is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs , stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and restraining animals safely.
• Experience in animal handling, animal science, or animal research preferred.

• Support the Palatability Assessment Resource Center (PARC) in conducting taste trials with cats and dogs.
• Work alongside a dedicated team of 19+ care technicians and 4–5 veterinary techs .
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and typical animal care environments.
• Rotating two-week schedule , including weekends and holidays .
• Physical, hands-on role in a high-productivity, team-oriented facility .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $42120.00/yr.
