The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance. Job Responsibilities include following and encouraging others to follow all organizational safety rules and practices, fostering and maintaining a positive work environment, performing basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process, operating a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials, performing basic lab testing, counting and reporting inventory daily and assisting monthly inventory counts, following and performing lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment, maintaining work area in a clean, organized, and safe environment, maintaining accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents, recommending methods to improve production methods and equipment, assisting others in troubleshooting problems, and performing other duties as assigned.
