A high-profile Boston based non-profit organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Team. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer

This is a hybrid role and will pay a competitive base salary of $175,000 $200,000, plus bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the organizations financial strategy.
• Partner with leadership to develop the Annual Operating Plan and budget; provide monthly analysis of actual results, financial trends, and forecasts.
• Continuously improve budgeting processes and financial practices.
• Analyze and assess new revenue opportunities for strategic alignment and feasibility.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems to achieve organizational goals.
• Oversee preparation of all financial statements and collaborate with external auditors.
• Manage preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings; coordinate with tax advisors to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, including CFO, Finance Director, Controller, or comparable positions.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Strong technical accounting background, ideally with experience in public accounting (Big 4 experience a plus).
