Position Title: Cloud Architect (SE) Location: Tampa, FL (USSOCOM HQ) Position Overview: The cloud architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud computing solutions. The Cloud Architect facilitates the development of the future-state architecture and ensures its effective adoption. Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of architecture programs that support government operations. Key Responsibilities: Advocate for and support the enterprise's IT strategies, analyze enterprise business drivers, assess the current IT environment, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements. Develop strategies to align IT with business needs. Design cloud infrastructure, application architecture, and security architecture. Maintain systems and network infrastructure; support end users and devices; manage configurations, changes, licenses, and assets; conduct training; perform IMAC services. Support USSOCOM operations worldwide, operating 24/7/365. Required Qualifications: Experience with cloud computing, including deployment models, service models, and architecture. Bachelor of Science with 10-12 years, or Master of Science with 8-10 years, or PhD with 5 years in a related field. Experience supporting enterprise IT environments for DoD COCOM or similar organizations. DoD IAT Level II certification. Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or higher. Experience supporting cloud migration efforts. Skills & Tools: Knowledge of C2 systems, CIP/COP platforms, and operational structures. Strong communication skills for technical training and coordination. Experience in software implementation, training, documentation, and ability to travel globally.
