Job Title: Computer Hardware Service Technician
Location: Christiansburg, VA

Type: Contract
Compensation: $17.09 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite (local candidates)
Hours: 20 hours a week (either, 2 days at 8 hours and 1 day at 4 hours preferred, or 5 days at 4 hours - mornings 8AM-12PM)

System One is hiring a Computer Service Technician for a 2-month contract role on-site in Christiansburg, VA. 

What you will do:

• Documents service and support cases with a high degree of detail.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Gathers and analyzes information, troubleshoots and diagnoses problems for standard and custom computer hardware.
• Documents necessary service actions.
• Performs repair on computer hardware.
• Repairs include but not limited to, testing/replacing monitor screens, motherboards, peripheral components, thermal regulating components, etc.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within computer hardware support.
• Competence in performing tasks that may impact health and safety in the workplace.
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
• Being able to read a schematic is helpful.
