LOCATION: International Gamco (9335 N 48th St. Omaha, NE)

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

PAY RANGE: Category 8

What You'll Do

This full-time permanent position is based in a manufacturing environment, and the Creative Artist will be responsible for assisting in the creation of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper. The Creative Artist will focus on producing artwork and ticket designs for pull-tabs and related products while also creating marketing and support materials. The artwork will be created based on customer specifications, as defined by the Sales & Marketing Department.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• High-Volume Work Management: Handle a high volume of work while meeting deadlines and maintaining artistic quality.
• Timely Production & Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is up to date with printing and quality standards and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure all custom work meets customer specifications and is delivered to their satisfaction.
• Professional Communication: Maintain professional communication with all parties in a manner that is clear, concise, and efficient.
• Lottery Ticket Design: Create lottery pull-tab ticket designs that meet Lottery customer requirements, adhering to the criteria outlined by the client and Sales & Marketing teams.
• Design Support & Brainstorming: Participate in brainstorming sessions to provide design support and assist in the creation of new products and concepts to present to customers for sales.
• Art Creation & Ticket Design:
• Clarify the Design Information Form (DIF) or work orders with design coordinators or the Creative Director on art direction or game play.
• Start with the correct template based on ticket size, play style, and/or customer requirements.
• Create symbols according to the DIF or in correspondence with the ticket name.
• Create ticket front artwork, support materials, and other assets as outlined in the DIF or work order.
• File Management & Approval:
• Create art files and PDFs necessary to obtain approval from clients.
• Ensure all files are maintained up to date on the server with only the latest versions available.
• Supply proofreaders with all necessary files and materials to check the artwork.
• Trapping & Technical Art:
• Perform trapping of symbols and ticket artwork.
• Make corrections to trap files when required and pass the approved trapped art and symbol files to the Technical Art and Layout teams.

Additional Duties: Perform other design-related duties as assigned to support the team and business needs.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).
• Associate's degree in Art/Design required; Bachelor's degree in Art/Design preferred.
• Post-Secondary education in Graphic Arts Design, Digital Media Design, or Graphic & Print Technician.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design and/or digital media design, with a strong portfolio.
• Experience in a print environment, especially offset printing, is preferred.
• Proficient in using Mac computers and various graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Expertise in traditional illustration and digital art creation, both pixel and vector-based.
• Strong typesetting and layout skills with an understanding of color management.
• Familiarity with offset printing processes and graphic design theory (composition, color, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and organize a large number of electronic files in a networked environment.
• Ability to interpret written instructions and translate them into visually compelling graphics.
• Strong planning and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Creative and imaginative approach to design and artwork creation.
• Keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Ability to work well in a diverse environment and collaborate with different departments.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (sponsorship is not available).
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
