Job Summary Are you passionate about the intersection of food science, chemistry, biology, and engineering?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Science Intern to join our R&D team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in food product development, C&D and sensory evaluation. The ideal candidate is passionate about food innovation and eager to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Assist in developing and testing new food formulations.

• Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze consumer feedback.

• Support shelf-life and stability studies under various storage conditions.

• Maintain lab equipment and ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.

• Document experimental procedures and results in technical reports.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including C&D, marketing, and operations.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or related field

• Have completed your sophomore year of undergrad education and will continue your education in the fall

• Interested in human testing of flavors and fragrances

• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

• Can work in an interdisciplinary scientific setting

• High level of initiative and the ability to work in a team environment

• Exhibit exceptional analytical instrumentation skills

• Familiarity with theoretical and practical aspects in related area

How Would You Stand Out?

• 3.0 GPA or Higher

• Ability to document results, analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings

• Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.

Our South Brunswick location offers an intensive 10-12 week internship program, in which interns develop key projects and take part in a variety of learning activities. Your summer experience will go beyond a single department or lab with exposure to a broad range of scientific disciplines. At the end of the summer program, you will deliver a presentation of your ideas, results, and conclusions, thereby developing practical real-life skills. Our interns are paid a competitive hourly rate and are responsible for their own housing and transportation for the summer

Salary Range: $20/hr - $30/hr, commensurate with academic level (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior) and relevant coursework or field of study.
