Little City Montessori is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who has trained in dance and dance education. This Instructor will be responsible for teaching toddler through kindergarten classes, scheduled for Mondays and Tuesdays beginning in late September. They will be responsible for developing their curriculum, leading each class and planning a showcase for the end of the semester where students can perform for their families.Please be sure your relevant experience is listed on your resume.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Develop curriculum, plan and lead energizing classes for toddler and preschool-aged childrenPlan an end of semester showcase for the studentsCommunicate with the teaching teams and admin teamMaintain an orderly and clean environmentProject a professional self-image and the values of Little City MontessoriComplete administrative tasks associated with studentsPosition Requirements:At least five years of dance experienceAt least one year of children's dance instruction experienceAt least one year of experience working with children ages two - six in a group settingAbility to present and lead a children's dance curriculumHigh School diploma or GEDReferences and a proven track record of caring and nurturing childrenAppropriate background check and clearances to work with childrenAbility to lift 30 lbs.Desired:Strong communication skillsFirst Aid/CPR certifiedDiscrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation or gender identity), national origin, disability, or genetic information (including family medical history) is illegal and will not be tolerated.
