Looking for energetic, hard-working, diligent medical assistants to join our dermatology practice. We are a very busy practice with plenty of work to go around!

Job Summary:

This position requires direct communication, critical thinking and problem-solving. You will work closely with medical providers as well as front office staff. Applicants must be a team player and bring a pleasant attitude to work every day.

Medical Skills:

• Room and interview patients
• Measure vital signs
• Manage patient flow
• Prepare and sterilize exam rooms and instruments
• Assist with biopsies and surgical procedures
• At least one year of experience in the medical field. Experience in dermatology required.
• Perform suture removals
• Help with prescription orders, prior authorizations, and patient calls
• Strongly prefer CMA with cosmetic background

Electronic Medical Record Skills:

• Knowledge of EMRs (EZ Derm preferred)
• Document HPI, Review of Symptoms, and physical exam findings. Knowledge of dermatology terminology and commonly-used medications preferred.
• Track laboratory and pathology reports in a very timely manner
• Must be efficient at documentation during visits
• Scribe for providers

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

• medical assisting: 1 year (Required)
• medical assistant - dermatology: 1 year (Required)
