Summary

We are assisting a global logistics firm seeking an Import Coordinator to support day-to-day import operations and ensure smooth clearance and delivery for customers across the U.S.
This role involves coordinating with U.S. Customs and other government agencies, processing import documentation, and providing responsive, professional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics coordination, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import shipments and communicate with customers, warehouses, and trucking companies.
• Enter and manage data for U.S. Customs, FDA, and other government agencies.
• Review and process import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve any delays or issues proactively.
• Arrange trucking/drayage and warehouse receiving schedules.
• Approve vendor invoices, process payments, and issue invoices to customers.
• Arrange terminal payments (e.g., PierPass, Cargo Sprint, PayCargo).
• Maintain accurate import files and audit documentation as required.
• Ensure all import activities meet company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2–4 years of college or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience in logistics coordination, warehousing, trucking, or freight forwarding preferred.
• Background in U.S. Customs procedures and Tradepoint Alliance System a plus.
• Strong people, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and make sound administrative decisions.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
