Job Description

Description The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment essential to daily production. This role includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvements in safety and production standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. Inspect machinery and systems to identify issues or potential failures. Complete daily repair tasks to minimize downtime and support production flow. Adhere to all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Comply with all company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately. Communicate equipment issues and significant downtime to the Supervisor promptly. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with both electrical and mechanical responsibilities. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Skills & Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks including: Standing for extended periods Repetitive motion Bending and lifting up to 40 pounds Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn, grow, and take accountability for work quality. Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to read and comprehend technical materials. Ability to assess and prioritize mechanical tasks effectively.
