We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Manager to oversee and manage a large estate in Pasadena, as well as the family's other properties as needed (all in Southern California). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing substantial properties, possess a robust network of local vendors, and demonstrate exceptional leadership and responsiveness. The candidate will be an integral part in assisting the family with their recent move, as well as helping navigate and streamline processes in place. This role requires a long‑term mindset and a commitment to maintaining the estate's excellence. Candidates located near Pasadena are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) Oversee all aspects of estate operations, including maintenance, landscaping, security, and housekeeping. Ensure that the property is maintained to the highest standards at all times. Manage and coordinate a team of 4+ staff members. Provide leadership, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and teamwork. Utilize a local rolodex or established network of trusted vendors to coordinate repairs, renovations, and other services. Manage vendor relationships to ensure high‑quality service and cost‑effective solutions. Develop and manage the estate’s budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost‑effective solutions. Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations for budget adjustments as needed. Plan and coordinate events and special occasions held at the estate, including overseeing logistics, catering, and setup to ensure a seamless experience. Develop and implement long‑term maintenance plans for the estate, including preventative maintenance schedules and seasonal preparations. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, record‑keeping, and reporting. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Be available to address urgent issues or emergencies related to the estate, including after‑hours and weekends as required. Qualifications Proven experience managing large estates with a history of successfully overseeing complex property operations. Candidates who have managed multiple properties are also highly preferred as additional properties may be added into the mix in the future. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of household staff members effectively. Must be highly responsive and willing to work beyond typical office hours, including late nights and weekends if necessary. Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management related to property operations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interact professionally with estate owners, guests, and staff. Pay: $120,000-$150,000/yearly + benefits. A slightly higher salary is negotiable for the right candidate. Location: Pasadena, CA. This is a fully onsite role, M‑F, with occasional weekends. Candidates in close proximity are highly preferred. Looking to hire immediately!
