ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has immediate openings for Event Security at Old National Events Plaza. This position is responsible for maintaining high security standards before, during and after events, including theatre shows, conventions, trade shows, etc. Essential duties include greeting guests in a friendly, professional manner; operating walkthrough magnetometer/metal detecting wand to screen guests, employees and contractors; checking guest bags for prohibited items; maintaining restricted and barricaded areas; verifying credentials for access control; interacting courteously with patrons, vendors and employees; monitoring crowds during events; responding professionally to disturbances/incidents; assisting guests during emergencies such as sheltering in place and evacuations; cooperating with other departments and vendors; enforcing facility policies and procedures; and exhibiting exemplary conduct and appearance. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, being 18 years or older, preferred customer service or guest relations experience, ability to listen and follow instructions, remain calm under stress, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships. Computer skills for scheduling system use are a plus. Dress code requires company-issued polo, black pants, and black shoes. Work schedule is flexible including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include walking long distances, standing for long hours, working outside in extreme weather, talking and hearing, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, and exposure to moderate to extreme noise.
