ASM Global, the world leader in venue management, has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Event Security Guard at SNHU Arena. This position is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and security doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and contract labor while on premises, securing property during move in/out of events. Under direct supervision, the Event Security Guard monitors venue activity, enforces facility policies, and responds to incidents in a professional and timely manner. Ideal candidates will have strong observational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment in a fast-paced, public setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include securing property, locking and unlocking facility doors, conducting routine property walks, directing guests through metal detectors, to seats, or other locations, responding to emergency situations, interacting with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees, securing the safety of all individuals on the premises, appropriately dealing with ‘unruly’ people, working independently and judging and assessing situations for immediate response. Qualifications include ability to work with minimal supervision, strong customer service skills, good written, verbal and interpersonal skills, professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic, ability to speak, read, and write English, minimum age of 18 years, and a High School diploma or GED. Physical demands include a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping, possibly heavy lifting, and work in both indoor and outdoor settings with possible contact with hostile people.
