ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Event Security for ASM Global Stockton Complex. This position is responsible for patrolling our venues during events, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and vendors while on premise. You may also be responsible for securing property during load in/out for events at our venues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include enforcing building security and safety rules, which may include wanding, visual searches and/or pat downs of guests; standing guard during events and touring post periodically to ensure the safety of guests, staff, vendors, etc.; providing event security in front of house (stage) as well as back of house; handling disturbances or problems that arise during events and escorting disruptive individuals off the premises if necessary; maintaining objectivity and professionalism when responding to agitated individuals and possessing verbal skills to prevent escalation; writing incident reports and meeting with security supervisor to review procedures; assisting with crowd control inside and outside of the venues; acting professionally with guests, staff, clients, vendors, etc.; maintaining a clean, neat appearance at all times; and other duties as assigned. There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. Qualifications include possessing a valid guard card and California’s driver’s license. Employment is based solely on experience, aptitude, abilities and training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. No computer skills are required. Physical demands include moving around the facility regularly, standing for long hours during events, talking and hearing, working inside or outside the building as needed, standing or walking for several continuous hours, and being strong enough to assist in lifting patrons over barricades or from the floor.
