The Executive Communications Manager is a seasoned communications professional and expert storyteller – crafting strong, concise, and powerful narratives for both internal and external audiences that inform and inspire. Reporting to the Manager, Communications, this position will collaborate with the broader consumer products communications team to position our global businesses and leadership teams both internally and externally, while aligning efforts with broader company messaging, mission and business narratives.

Responsibilities

  • Support DCP’s executive, internal, and business communications functions through the development of high-quality communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop written content that is clear, concise, purposeful, and inspirational – pulling together narratives that drive our global strategies and priorities.
  • Prepare key messages, speeches, presentations, and other materials, including keynote addresses, quotes, social media posts, town halls, video scripts, written communications to employees and external stakeholders, and panel remarks.
  • Manage content and presentation development for executive engagement.
  • Provide event support including planning, preparation and rehearsals by preparing briefs and being on-site day of to manage logistics and handle needs for executives (may require domestic and/or international travel). This includes town halls, all-hands, executive business updates, employee events and more.
  • Assist with onsite employee engagement initiatives and activations as needed.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience that can include a mix of experience within agency, corporate communications, public relations or executive communications role.
  • Ability to translate complicated concepts into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective executive communication content requiring minimal editing and rework.
  • Collaborative approach to working with the ability to interact and influence employees at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and function effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and develop high-quality work product in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong executive presence with an ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong writing skills (AP style expertise preferred) including positioning, storytelling and editing.
  • Proficient in programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote and other creative programs to support communication strategies and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in executive communication at a Fortune 500 retail company or fashion house.
  • Experience using current technologies to support, schedule and analyze successful communication campaigns.
  • Experience developing and delivering on a multi-channel editorial calendar.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing Communications, or related field

The hiring range for this position in Glendale is $113,800-$152,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
