Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy and power generation sector, is seeking a Manager, External & Regulatory Affairs to join their growing External Affairs team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of policy, markets, and strategy, and wants to make a real impact on the future of clean energy across the U.S.

In this role, youll help shape and advance the companys regulatory and market strategy within PJM, MISO, SPP, and other emerging markets. Youll be a key voice in stakeholder proceedings, industry groups, and regulatory initiatives, ensuring our clients position is well represented as they expand and innovate in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

What Youll Do

• Drive the execution of regulatory and market strategies across major ISOs/RTOs (PJM, MISO, SPP, and beyond).
• Participate in stakeholder processes to influence market design, interconnection rules, and growth opportunities.
• Partner with consultants, trade associations, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
• Track and engage in state and local legislative initiatives that affect company objectives.
• Represent the company in industry discussions, building relationships and advancing positions on key energy issues.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electricity generation, wholesale power markets, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory and market issues into clear strategies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for problem-solving and driving results.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data-driven analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
