A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Horizontal Directional Drill Operator/Locator to join our team. Reading and interpreting utility locates to identify and avoid damaging existing utilities. Setting up and operating drilling equipment including drill rig, water tanks, and grounding machine. Maintaining accurate bore logs, documenting drilling activities and equipment used. Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring all equipment is safe and in working order. Managing onsite safety at all times, including the safety of all crew members. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to drilling operations. Coordinating with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines are met. Adhering to all company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Horizontal Directional Drill Operator/Locator position will have the following qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry. Proven experience with utility locates, setting equipment drill, water tanks, grounding machine, bore log, and pre and post trip equipment. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the drilling industry. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding manual labor. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a relevant field will be considered an advantage.
