Staff Designer – Project Management

A high-end, fast-paced residential and commercial interior design firm is seeking a talented and experienced Design Assistant to join our growing team. This is a dynamic role for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and highly motivated , with a strong passion for design and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in space planning, furniture layouts, and the creation of presentation materials

• Prepare and edit floor plans using AutoCAD (proficiency required)

• Source furnishings, finishes, textiles, lighting, and materials with creativity and precision

• Request and organize samples, maintain materials libraries, and track vendor orders

• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and architects

• Support project documentation, purchasing, and administrative tasks

• Maintain project files, schedules, and design boards

• Assist with installations and on-site coordination as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in construction documents and AutoCAD is required

• Familiarity with Studio Designer, Photoshop, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is a plus

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in a team-driven environment

• Prior experience in an interior design studio or related design field preferred
