In our center, kids ages 7-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way - by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can't wait to come back. We are looking for a Lead Coding Instructor age 18+ at our Castle Rock location to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our instructors (Senseis) are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual leads day-to-day instructor coaching and student engagement. Do you have experience with JavaScript C#, and Unity? Are you experienced in working with or mentoring children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem-solving skills in young engineering minds? This could be the role for you. Responsibilities include: Coach and mentor kids ages 7-14 and junior instructors in coding and STEM curriculum, including JavaScript, C#, Unity, block-based languages, Minecraft, and more. Complete training courses for our proprietary curriculum. Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow. Provide feedback to parents on student progress. Perform extra duties as needed, including organizing, cleaning, and maintaining center equipment and facilities. Clean classroom and bathrooms throughout the day to ensure cleanliness. Report as needed to Center Director or lead instructor with respect to day's activities, efficiency & productivity in classroom. Qualifications: Age 18+ Leadership skills : demonstrated ability to supervise, organize, or lead within work groups, clubs, teams, etc. Looking for individuals who seek ways to contribute rather than waiting to be told. Coding and technology skills : experience with JavaScript, C#, and Unity. Skills in Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or 3D printing a plus! Education/childcare experience : demonstrated experience with children ages 7-14 in babysitting, childcare, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc. Looking for individuals that can work patiently with children of differing learning styles and abilities, including neurodivergent learners. Works well with others; enjoys collaboration and teamwork. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be fun to work with and enjoy fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently. Learn more about Code Ninjas at Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
