Schedule: Season / On-call, hours vary 

Momentum is seeking a seasonal / on-call  Lifeguard for our new and innovative Adult Day Program (ADP) in Thousand Oaks! 

The Lifeguard will support and ensure the safety and well-being of participants. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for working with individuals with disabilities, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Lifeguard Essential Responsibilities: 

• Assists in the planning and implementation of daily activities and programs suitable for participants
• Supervises and engages participants during group activities, ensuring safety and promoting positive interactions.
• Helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment space.
• Ensures all equipment and materials used in activities are safe and accessible.

Lifeguard Qualifications: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent; required
• Prior experience working with adults, particularly those with disabilities or special needs, preferred
• Lifeguard Certification, required 
• CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification, preferred 
• Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine desire to support and uplift participants.
