Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field and 4 years related experience. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Performing high complexity testing on patient specimens using both manual methods and automated analyzers in all the sections of the laboratory. 2) Performing specimen collection, identification process and procedures to facilitate simple to complex diagnostic tests. 3) Executing and analyzing tests in areas including Chemistry, Hematology, Clinical Microscopy, Urinalysis, Molecular Testing and Blood banking.
4) Participating in Quality Assurance, Quality control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. Must possess certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA). Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
