Lloyd Logistics, INC is a fast-growing transportation and logistics company contracted with FedEx Ground, specializing in pick-up and delivery (P&D) services. We are committed to excellence in customer service, safety, and efficient package delivery. With a team-first culture and strong operational standards, we are seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead our daily P&D operations.
Position Summary:
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our FedEx Ground P&D contract. You’ll be responsible for managing drivers, dispatch, route optimization, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience, logistics know-how, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of P&D drivers ensuring all routes are covered daily.
Oversee dispatch operations and coordinate package delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with FedEx Ground safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Handle recruiting, onboarding, and performance evaluations for drivers.
Monitor and manage fleet performance, maintenance, and route efficiency.
Communicate with FedEx terminal management and resolve any service-related issues.
Maintain daily operational reports and ensure service metrics are met or exceeded.
Provide hands-on support in the terminal as needed, especially during peak periods.
Qualifications:
3+ years of management experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery operations (FedEx Ground experience preferred).
MUST have prior experience navigating the DRO system.
Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Tech-savvy with experience using logistics software and routing systems.
Valid Driver’s License (CDL not required, but a plus).
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and meet FedEx eligibility requirements.
