LocumJobsOnline is working with AAS Locum Tenens to find a qualified Anesthesiology MD in Hudson, Florida, 34674!About The PositionWe are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage at a high-acuity surgical center with a robust cardiac anesthesia program. This role offers a mix of scheduled cases and call coverage, with a focus on complex cardiovascular procedures in a Level II Trauma Center.   Key Details:   Certification Required: TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) Schedule: Shifts: 5x10-hour shifts/week Shift Times: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (days), 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (CV beeper call) Call: Beeper call for all days Weekend Coverage: 24-hour shift (Saturday 7:00 AM – Sunday 7:00 AM) Post-call day off following in-house weekday call Trauma Call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM (with CRNA support for general OR/Trauma/IR); post-call day optional  Anesthesia Team & Model:   Team Size: 9 MDs / 16 APPs Care Model: 1:3 MD to CRNA ratio Practice Style: 99% supervision – MDs involved in induction, emergence, pre-op, and post-op care Self-performing cases are rare CRNA Support: Present for general OR, trauma, and IR; not present during CV call  Case Load & Surgical Volume:   CV Cases: 3–4/day; 10–12/week TAVRs, Mitral Clips, CABGs 40–50 cardiac cases per month EP/Watchman: ~80/month Total Surgical Volume: ~9,000/year Other Case Types: Ortho, Spine, Vascular, Limited Neuro, Endo, EP Lab No OB or Transplant cases  Facility & EMR:   Operating Rooms: 12 ORs and 9 NORA sites Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center Anesthesia Charting: Medaxion Hospital EMR: Meditech Qualifications: Board Certified in Anesthesiology TEE Certification required Active state license (or ability to obtain) Prior experience in high-acuity CV and trauma cases preferred  Hudson is a coastal community located in Pasco County on Florida’s Gulf Coast, just north of Tampa.
