Role Summary/Purpose

\n
• Work with Quality Department and Engineering in developing quality procedures.
\n
• Document QC operations; make recommendations for improving production process.
\n
• Perform calibration of measuring and test equipment according to set schedule and keep history data base of calibrations.
\n
• Perform receiving in-process and final inspection of product. Record findings according to acceptability requirements per drawings and specs.
\n
• Examine and record dimensional conformance to drawings using measuring and inspection tools and equipment. Create DMR documentation for in-process components if needed.
\n
• Gather Purchase Order, Drawings, Packing List and enter into receiving/inspection log. List on PO copy; heat #s, qty, applicable MDR#, qty sampled, "inspected" stamp, date and initial of inspector.
\n
• Support production in assembly of valves when needed.
\n
• Support production in training when needed.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.
\n

• High School Diploma or GED
\n
• Experience in the operation of quality control systems or in a manufacturing environment.
\n

\n
• Analytical ability to develop appropriate tests of product quality required.
\n
• Experience in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings a plus. Computer skills in programs including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Epicor.
\n
• Weld inspection experience a plus.
\n

\n
• ASQ or technical certification a plus.
\n
• UV-1, certified inspector certification. If not held, must be able to obtain within 12 months of employment.
\n

• Use and application of inspection tools and measuring and test equipment.
\n
• Knowledge in the assembly methods and techniques used in operations.
\n
• Knowledgeable on the documentation completion requirements and control procedures.
\n
• Attention to detail - Follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data.
\n
• Information Gathering and Processing - Locates and collects data from appropriate sources and analyzes it to prepare meaningful and concise reports.
