Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide itinerant nursing services for K-12 students across multiple schools in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. The role involves supporting student health needs, managing medications, and triaging illness or injury at various school sites, including elementary, middle, and high schools.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing coverage at the Personalized Academy of Learning (PAL) program and four other schools.
• Manage daily medication administration and monitor student health.
• Perform triage for student illnesses and injuries.
• Coordinate care across multiple locations with a home base at PAL.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current PA Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential preferred.
• Previous experience in schools or pediatric nursing is strongly preferred.
• Strong assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel between school sites.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday through Friday, 7:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
• Itinerant role serving K-12 students in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
• Position duration: ASAP through End of School Year (EOSY) on a contract basis.
