Job Description

This position requires a commitment of 32 hours per week, encompassing day and evening shifts of 8 hours each. The work schedule includes four days a week, with shifts that rotate among various times, and it will involve working every fourth weekend. As a versatile team member, you will be expected to rotate between the Emergency Room, Main Registration, and Lab Registration. Your primary responsibilities will be to register patients efficiently, manage the switchboard, and facilitate emergency communications for the hospital environment. Additionally, you will be tasked with verifying insurance eligibility as well as gathering and confirming patient demographic information, ensuring that all registrations are accurately linked to the electronic medical record system. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and advanced computer proficiency, coupled with a robust work ethic and the ability to adapt to various situations. Dependability, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute positively to the team are essential attributes. A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Part-time benefits include access to health insurance and additional pay differentials for evening and weekend shifts. Sample shift times may include 5:30 AM to 2 PM, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, 10 AM to 7:30 PM, and 2 PM to 10:30 PM.
