As a Security Guard - Armed Front Desk in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors, employees, and clients. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional presence at the front desk. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with a heightened sense of responsibility and professionalism. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your attentiveness and strong communication skills, while also responding promptly to any situations that may arise. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Support emergency response activities and coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through attentive presence and observation at the front desk.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
