As a Security Guard - Armed Desk Specialist in Atlanta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Front Desk professional with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and guests, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related incidents with professionalism and composure. You will help to deter unwanted activity through your presence and attention to detail, while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post, requiring a valid armed guard card/license and at least six months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles. Pay Rate: $20.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist employees, visitors, and guests at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous first point of contact.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and any security-related incidents.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding any unusual activity or concerns.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering assistance to those entering or exiting the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
