As a Security Officer in Columbus, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to incidents, and support a culture of teamwork and integrity. What Youll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity or conditions and report findings according to site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while maintaining a visible presence.
• Support Allied Universal and client management with security-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
