Learn more about how AFS supports U.S. government security missions at . Position Overview As part of our growth, Axonius Federal Systems seeks a Senior Sales Engineer (Federal Civilian). The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools in federal environments, leading remote and in-person demos. You will play a vital role in helping federal clients meet their security objectives, building strong relationships, understanding technical needs, thinking creatively, and collaborating across teams. Responsibilities Lead the technical aspects throughout the sales cycle, including owning proofs of value, managing customer relationships with sales executives, and delivering technical demonstrations. Become the regional technical subject matter expert on the Axonius platform and its integrations, maintaining expertise and providing pre-sales support from discovery to deal closure. Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies, account penetration plans, and sales tactics to close deals. Maintain a solid understanding of our products, cybersecurity landscape, and customer challenges. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to asset management and cybersecurity. Support the expansion of existing accounts and the acquisition of new customers within the assigned territory. Travel expectations: 25-40% Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or as a system integrator, with practical experience responding to Federal RFIs, RFPs, and proposals. Technical background in internet security principles and practical experience with cybersecurity tools used by Federal agencies. Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, endpoint security, cloud security, and vulnerability management. Experience operating Linux and Windows systems; Linux expertise is a plus. Prior experience selling software to Federal agencies and knowledge of Federal acquisition processes. Ability to see the big picture, identify business challenges, and architect solutions, with understanding of internet protocols. Experience presenting to diverse audiences, from C-suite to Solution Architects, with strong technical communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of APIs and scripting languages like Python. Experience as a Federal System Integrator in a client-facing technical role. Experience with DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program. Ideally residing in Washington, DC.
