Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school serving grades 3rd through 5th. This is a full school year contract opportunity located in Woodland, WA, designed for educators seeking a dedicated role working with elementary students requiring specialized support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide targeted instruction to students in an inclusive elementary classroom setting.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students' academic and social success.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for elementary education.
• Experience working with students in grades 3-5 with diverse learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral intervention techniques.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
