Pay Rate Range: $37.50 - $47.50 per hour

Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | MondayFriday | 7:45 AM 3:15 PM

School Year Dates: August 7, 2025 May 22, 2026

Soliant Education is currently seeking qualified Onsite Special Education Teachers for contract roles in Buckingham, VA for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. These positions are in collaborative classroom settings and follow the Special Ed Gen-Ed curriculum model. Multiple positions are available across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Open Positions:

• Positions 1-4 (Elementary)

• Grades 3rd5th

• All subject areas

• Caseload supported by paraprofessionals

• 37.5 hours/week (7:45 AM 3:15 PM)

• Position 5 (High School)

• Focus: English

• More manageable caseload

• No paraprofessional support

• 37.5 hours/week (7:45 AM 3:15 PM)

• Position 6 (Middle School)

• Caseload: 22 students

• General education curriculum

• 37.5 hours/week (7:45 AM 3:15 PM)

  Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Deliver instruction aligned with general education standards and accommodations

• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families

• Track student progress and provide regular updates

• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment

• Support behavior and classroom management strategies

• Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development as required

  Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)

• Valid Virginia Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain

• Prior experience in special education or collaborative settings preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills

• Ability to work onsite in Lynchburg, VA for the duration of the school year
