About the position
Responsibilities
• Conducting geotechnical field investigations
• Monitoring heavy civil construction projects
• Performing and reviewing engineering calculations
• Developing construction documents
• Writing and reviewing engineering reports
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in geology, geological engineering, or related field (required)
• At least 2 years of related experience, including observation of geotechnical field investigations, or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
• Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required)
• Geologist in Training (GIT) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
Nice-to-haves
• Advanced degree in geology or geological engineering (preferred)
• Professional Geologist (PG) or (CEG) (preferred)
• Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting (preferred)
• Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS (preferred)
• Regular field work and overnight travel (required)
