Position Overview
Seeking a Temporary, On-Site Surgery Scheduler to support our Pediatric Orthopedic Group. This administrative role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all aspects of surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative appointments, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring equipment and co-surgeons are aligned prior to surgery.



Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule surgeries for the Pediatric Orthopedic team, including coordination of operating room time and surgical team availability
• Obtain and document insurance authorizations and clearances required for procedures
• Schedule and confirm pre-op and post-op patient appointments.
• Coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) needs before surgery
• Liaise with multiple departments and surgeons to coordinate co-surgeries
• Maintain accurate documentation using hospital systems
• Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, physicians, and staff



Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
• At least 1-2 years of recent surgery scheduling experience
• Experience in a hospital or medical center setting preferred

Skills:
• Proficiency in surgical scheduling systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment

Equipment Used:
• Computer, telephone, fax machine, and other standard administrative tools
