This position reports to: Operations Development Manager, Ports Your role and responsibilities The Ports Technical Support Engineer (SE) plans and executes complex technical field assignments involving installation, modification, testing, inspection, or repair of company products and equipment, with minimal guidance. The SE coordinates with other groups to meet customer commitments and interacts with customer operations personnel, often recommending operational improvements. The work model for this role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role contributes to the Process Automation, Marine, and Ports Division. Your main responsibilities include: Independently installing, modifying, testing, repairing, or inspecting products such as PLCs, Drives, HMIs, automation systems, rotating machinery, low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and protection relays, depending on your area of expertise. Performing or coordinating diverse engineering activities related to field projects. Interpreting technical drawings and schematics, making necessary onsite modifications. Enhancing product and technical knowledge through training, manuals, and resources. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment using your experience. Providing technical advice to customers onsite and remotely. Team dynamics You will join a dynamic, talented, high-performing team where you can thrive. Qualifications for the role Five or more years of experience in drives and PLC/process control systems; familiarity with motors and MV power distribution. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field preferred, but not required. A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated accomplishments. Familiarity with port/container crane environments and procedures. Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC). More about us We value diversity.
