Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials.
Courses this position may teach include: Introduction to Theatre, Technical Design, Sound Design, Lighting Design, Costume Design, Special Topics, Stage Makeup, Acting Foundations, Directing, Theatre Practicum/Working on a Production, Directing Theatrical Productions on the College's Central Campus. * Adjunct positions at JC are part-time teaching positions. Essential FunctionsEvaluate and grade students' class work, assignments and papers. Prepare and deliver instructional materials (i.e. syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts) in person and/or on-line. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Compile, administer, and grade examinations. Participate in required reporting processes (i.e. grades, participation, etc.). Assist students in connecting to college resources.
Minimum QualificationsMaster degree or higher in Theatre OR a Master degree or higher in another field with 18 graduate credits in Theatre.
