Job Title: Traffic Control Manager

Location : Tacoma, Washington, United States

Status: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 per year

About the Position

AGS is currently looking for a Traffic Control Manager to act as lead for the Traffic Control and Rental departments in the greater Pacific Northwest Region (WA/OR/ID/MT/WY). This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as act as an intermediary between the Sales, Estimating & Solutions teams with regards to quoting, drafting and projects.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with On Street Services (OSS) Traffic Control Supervisor to ensure seamless communication between office and field activities.
• Liaise with Sales, Estimating & Solutions team with regards to quoting, drafting and projects
• Completion of appropriate seminars, meetings & training to keep abreast of changes in the industry

• Ensure strong relationships with customers and any issues are dealt with promptly & efficiently

• Check & sign off work orders after they are handed in for invoicing

• Assist traffic control supervisors & install manager when required
• Take calls, emails & meet with customers to determine what is needed as required
• Manage operations (OSS and Admin components of company)
• Manage and maintain operational budget
• Assist in growth of branch (OSS/Sales)
• Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to operate forklift is desired
• Ability to pull and back up trailer mounted equipment
• Traffic Control Supervisor certification preferred but equivalent experience in road construction relating to traffic control may be considered as well.
• 5 years experience working in the field on projects.
• Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening and Fit Test. *Note: As this is a safety-sensitive position there is a zero tolerance policy for use of medical or recreational marijuana
• Approximately 5-10 year's progressive experience in the Traffic/Transportation industry is required
• Approximately 5-10 year's leadership experience is required with people management skills
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
• Previous project management experience
• Previous experience in a LEAN/6S environment is a bonus!
