What you'll be doing: • Strategically manage distribution center departments in compliance with company policies and vision
• Coach and mentor warehouse team, providing active feedback as needed
• Work with warehouse leaders to cultivate a welcoming and team-focused environment
• Open and effective communication at all levels
• Develop and implement strategies that will capitalize on opportunities, address areas of improvement
• Be conscious of company budget and ensure goals are met or exceeded
• Ability to calculate, analyze and apply business, financial and statistical data, such as changes in rates of production, cost, shrinkage, etc., to improve warehouse operations
• Initiate, coordinate and effectively manage compliance of optimal operational policies and procedures
• Maintain and promote safety standards throughout the warehouse
• Able to work side by side with the warehouse team to complete daily goals
What we're looking for: - Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent Four years of warehouse experience, of which two years must involve warehouse management
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ability to manage details, appreciate complexity, and champion problem solving
- Strong leadership skills, flexible and innovative with a collaborative style
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills, excellent communication Skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends able to travel to other Rooms To Go locations
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Able to submit to a Drug Test and Background Investigation
