Backflow Prevention Device Inspections, Inc (BPDI), Arizona’s oldest backflow prevention service company, with over 35 years of growth and success is seeking someone to join our team as

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Job Functions/Responsibilities

Support the Service Manager in the management of backflow related services.

Serve as the primary liaison for written, online, emailed and telephone requests from customers.

Schedule and track service requests.

Secure appropriate permits for backflow services.

Accurately look up, identify and procure parts from inventory/vendors.

Collaborate with service department personnel and technicians to ensure all service requests are completed and recorded in a timely manner.

Update records by making timely and accurate entries in both paper and computerized databases.

Filing and paper management.

Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all backflow testing equipment to ensure certifications are valid.

Manage backflow technician certifications ensuring that they are valid.

Initiate and manage backflow projects.

Occasionally deliver and pick up parts.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED
• 2+ years experience in customer service
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Programs and track record of learning and mastering new programs
• Ability to stay on top of responsibilities and support department goals and initiatives
• Excellent customer service and English oral/written communication skills
• Can handle challenging customer interactions with patience, empathy, and composure, knowing when to take ownership and when to escalate customer concerns.
• Strong time management and job prioritization skills
• Attention to detail
• Can work independently using good judgement
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment using critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration.
• Moderate Lifting
• Have a clean driving record
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and open to working paid overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college
• Prior experience with backflow, landscaping, plumbing or fire system service.
