Our client, a leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Dispatcher to join their team. As a Dispatcher, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Distribution Team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dispatcher
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Pay Range:$33hr

What's the Job?

• Promote and enforce the Company's Safety and Health programs.
• Effectively operate company communication equipment to track crew locations and ongoing work.
• Dispatch service personnel to respond to outage and emergency situations.
• Authorize the energizing and restoration of distribution facilities.
• Maintain accurate outage records and records of abnormal and defective equipment.

What's Needed?

• Associate degree in electrical or electronic technology or a Bachelor of Science in any field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Successful completion of the System Operator/Power Dispatching Selection System (SOPD) test.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain high availability for call-out response.
• Capability to work under pressure during critical system conditions.
• Willingness to relocate within 30 minutes of the reporting location.
