Abbelight is headquartered in Paris, France with a commercial presence in selected global markets in EMEA,North America and APAC. We are growing and looking for exceptional talent to join our amazing company in support of our mission.

We are seeking an outstanding Field Applications Scien tist, in North America, who can be based in Boston or any major city in California as long as it is close to a major airport and major highways.

This position requires to travel up to 50% of the time.

Their main mission is to drive market adoption and ensure customer success using Abbelight’s SAFe platforms. This individual will provide premier support for our instrumentation, consumables, and software.

The FAS will leverage their experience in microscopy and nanoscopy, to match customer research goals to our platform’s capabilities, conduct training, project design and troubleshooting, and help drive customer satisfaction. They will also relay customer feedback to Field Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Marketing to optimize the customer’s user experience.

Your key responsabilities :

• Deliver exceptional pre and post-sales applications support; educate customers on the use of our technology and help them conduct microscopy and/or nanoscopy projects to maximize their research success.
• Understand the customer’s research requirements to help them design, implement, analyze and interpret their experiments, thus building the scientific credibility of both the FAS and our technology.
• Work with the Account Executive Team, supporting their efforts to identify, develop and close high-value sales opportunities to meet/exceed revenue targets for hardware and consumables.
• Persuasively deliver technical, customer-facing seminars covering a variety of scientific research areas, applications, products and data related to Abbelight’s technology platform.
• Deliver Remote, Abbelight in-house and Customer on-site demonstrations
• Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Product Management and Marketing to implement successful strategies that balance the needs of the customer, Sales, and internal departments.
• Build, engage and leverage relationships with Early Access targets, KOLs, Business Associates and Strategic Partners.
• In collaborating with R&D, Product Management and Marketing to own and deliver on the creation of Applications Notes and White Papers.
• Support the of Customer publications.
• Act as an internal customer advocate by communicating information between the customer, Sales, R&D, Product Management and Marketing and other departments related to product feedback, competitive intelligence, market trends, and effectiveness of marketing, positioning, and field tactics.

Your qualifications :

Ph.D. in a relevant field with 2+ years’ experience (post-doc or industrial)

- Must-have :

• Practical research experience in the life science area
• In-depth knowledge of Single-Molecule Localization Microscopy
• Strong verbal , written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively deliver technical presentations, handle customer issues and work collaboratively to support the efforts of Field Sales.

• Ability to learn quickly and work in a highly innovative, fast-paced startup environment, collaborating closely with other cross-functional and geographically distributed teams

- It's a a real bonus if :

• Previous field applications support experience
• Experience in the demonstration, installation, operation and troubleshooting of sophisticated, high-throughput instrument platforms is a plus.
• Experience in successful experimental design, interpretation, troubleshooting and optimization. Ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require innovation and collaboration.
