Overview DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: The Boston Red Sox Fan & Youth Department works to ensure the organization provides opportunities for young fans to connect with the organization and foster our relationship with the next generation through a series of programs and events. This includes gameday activations at the ballpark, mascot programming, Red Sox Kid Nation fan clubs, the mobile showcase, and hosting a series of large-scale events throughout the year. The Fan and Youth Engagement team also includes the Red Sox Street Team, who are responsible for traditional marketing/promotional activations, fan clubs, and customer service. Position overview The Red Sox FYE Event and Game Day assistant will help with the planning, execution, and debriefing of game days and youth initiative events. This role plays a key part in bringing the excitement of Fenway Park and the Boston Red Sox out of the ballpark and into the community with a number of events. Responsibilities Assist in administrative needs related to the Fan & Youth Engagement staff Assist in the coordination and daily operations of Game Days Develop leads and bookings for revenue-generating events for Red Sox Showcase Assist in the planning and execution of major Fan & Youth Engagement events, such as Out of the Park, Little League Opening Day, Play Ball, etc. Coordinate with vendors or execution and arrival times Serve as the main contact for vendors at various events Create an immersive brand experience for all guests that exceeds expectations Assist with special tasks and overall department goals, and kids-related initiatives as needed Qualifications Ability to commit to January 2026-December 2027 timeline and work flexible hours (34 hours per week) with weekend availability Bachelors degree in hospitality or marketing-related fields preferred Strong communication and guest service skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to problem-solve efficiently Ability to interact with and entertain a crowd of all ages General knowledge of baseball and the Red Sox Additional information At the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Sports Management, we go beyond embracing diversity.
