Our Empowerment Through Enterprise program helps survivors with job training, career development, and sustainable living resources. Role Overview: As a Marketing & Outreach Volunteer, you will support Safe Harbor’s mission by helping build awareness, foster community engagement, and expand donor and partner outreach. This is a hands-on role assisting in both strategic and administrative efforts to grow Safe Harbor’s impact. Key Responsibilities: Research and compile contact lists of potential donors, partners, media, and supporters Draft and send outreach emails and follow-ups to nonprofits, corporate sponsors, artists, and influencers Support social media content planning, posting, and engagement (primarily Instagram and Facebook) Help create visually clean and effective communications materials in Google Docs, Canva, and Mailchimp Assist with event promotion and virtual fundraiser outreach (as needed) Provide administrative support for grant tracking and reporting What You’ll Gain: Experience working within a mission-driven nonprofit Skills in digital marketing, donor relations, and nonprofit communications Insight into survivor advocacy and empowerment through enterprise programs Mentorship and potential to transition to paid or longer-term roles Ideal Candidate: Passionate about social justice, nonprofit work, and survivor support Strong written communication and organizational skills Comfortable with Google Workspace, social media, Canva, and email outreach Self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimal supervision Bonus: Experience with fundraising platforms, Mailchimp, or event marketing Flexible hours, remote work Academic credit, volunteer hours, or references available upon request Potential for conversion to paid part-time or full-time roles depending on income growth This is an unpaid, part-time volunteer opportunity intended for individuals looking to gain real-world experience in nonprofit operations and/or creative business development.
