Occupational Therapist - School Based at Supplemental Health Care summary:

The Occupational Therapist provides therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, developing and implementing individualized educational and therapy programs based on evaluations. They collaborate with interdisciplinary school teams and guardians to support students’ progress in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This part-time role in Belvidere, IL, supports student well-being through direct therapy, record keeping, and potential supervision of assistants during the 2025-2026 school year.

We’re currently hiring in Belvidere, Illinois to support a school district in need of Occupational Therapists. School-Based Occupational Therapist Contract Details:

• $45 – $47 an hour
• School-based Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
• 2025-2026 School Year
• Schedule: Part-time 3 days per week
• Start Date: August 2025
• End Date: May 2026
• Location: Belvidere, IL
• Assignment Details: Elementary School, Middle School, and High School: resource and life skills
• Develop and implement educational and therapy programs based on evaluation results
• Evaluates students to identify needs and determine eligibility for therapy services
• Collect therapy data, maintain accurate student records, and monitor progress toward student goals
• Work collaboratively and communicate with school interdisciplinary team and student guardians
• Schedule follows the school district calendar
• Will provide occupational therapy services according to student IEP
• Assigned schools may include various grade levels
• May be asked to travel between school locations
• May be asked to supervise assistants

Requirements:

• Illinois Occupational Therapist License – IDFPR Occupational Therapist license
• American Heart Association BLS
• Prior experience with pediatrics or in a school setting is preferred but not required
