Job Title: Patient Registrar - Surgical

Address: 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355

Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Contract: 26 weeks

Pay rate: $20 to $23

We are seeking a Patient Registrar – Surgical to join a busy urology office in the Flushing, NY area. The ideal candidate will be Korean-speaking , detail-oriented, and experienced in providing administrative and registration support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role ensures smooth front-office operations and accurate patient information management.

Key Responsibilities

• Register and check in/out patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and billing details.
• Obtain prior authorizations for imaging, medications, and procedures.
• Run insurance eligibility checks and confirm active coverage.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams.
• Utilize medical office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook .
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
• Support daily operations through strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Fluent in Korean (required)
• Experience in a medical office or patient care setting
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills

Preferred:

• College degree or equivalent relevant experience
• EHR (Electronic Health Record) experience
• Familiarity with medical practice systems and technology
• Experience obtaining prior authorizations and verifying insurance eligibility
